ESTIMASI CADANGAN KARBON PADA TUMBUHAN TEGAKAN ATAS DI KAWASAN HUTAN KOTA PEKANBARU

The research aims to estimation carbon of above ground. The
researchis located at Thamrin street Pekanbaru-Riau province. The urban forest
has total area of 6,1 hectares. The research is survey of quadran methods using a
non destructive samplimg. Determination of plots by simple random sampling
technique. Data were analyzed using allometric equations. Based on research
result of potential carbon stocks in station I 84,93 kg/m2
, station II 88,00 kg/m2
,
station III 538,55 kg/m2
, and station VI 133,61 kg/m2
. The total carbon stock in
urban forest pekanbaru city is 1288,76 kg/ha. The indicated that the urban forest
has a role in storing carbon stocks.
